Discover the Richard Mille RM68-01: A Graffiti Masterpiece on Your Wrist!

The Richard Mille RM68-01 is more than just a watch; it’s a true masterpiece for the wrist, blending art and engineering in a unique way. This timepiece is a collaboration with renowned Brazilian graffiti artist Cyril Kongo, who brings street art to the delicate mechanics of a tourbillon watch.

The RM68-01 features a zirconia ceramic face and back with a carbon fiber middle case and crown, all housed in a slim profile of just 14 mm. The barrel-shaped case, crafted from grade 5 titanium, has been subtly altered to create an extraordinary design, complemented by an NTPT carbon fiber band and a black ceramic bezel.

Inside, the movement bridges mimic the brush strokes of street graffiti, showcasing vivid colors and graffiti motifs. The tourbillon is strategically positioned at the 6 o’clock mark on the dial. Each element is a testament to the fusion of mechanical ingenuity and visual art.

Cyril Kongo dedicated over a year to perfecting the art of graffiti on the fine components of the watch. Using a specially designed spray gun that releases just a tiny droplet of paint at a time, he ensured that the weight of the paint does not disrupt the balance or functionality of the movement. The specially formulated paint adheres perfectly to the titanium alloy parts, remaining vibrant and unfazed even when dismantled.

Powered by the RM tourbillon movement with a frequency of 28,800 vph and a 48-hour power reserve, this watch is not just a feast for the eyes but also a marvel of precision. Through the sapphire crystal case back, one can admire the bright graffiti hues on the movement base plate, mimicking the vibrant splashes of paint on a wall, radiating from the center outward.
