Richard Mille has unveiled a striking new piece in its lineup: the RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson. This eye-catching timepiece is a collaboration with professional golfer Bubba Watson, drawing inspiration from the vibrant pink of his favorite PING driver. The watch stands out with its bright and refreshing design, sure to bring joy to any wearer.
The bezel and caseback of this new release are crafted from a pink and white quartz TPT composite, while the middle case layer features a combination of carbon TPT and pink quartz TPT. Each case boasts a unique, interwoven pattern, making every watch truly one-of-a-kind. The tonneau-shaped case is designed for a comfortable and snug fit on the wrist, with a crown that cleverly mimics the dimples of a golf ball—an intriguing detail for fans of the sport.
The open-worked dial allows the wearer to fully appreciate the mechanism’s operations, with skeletonized bridges forming a horizontal V-shape across the display. The pink hand-painted accents are inspired by the clubhead of Bubba Watson’s golf driver. The tourbillon at 6 o’clock can withstand impacts of up to 10,000g, ensuring stability even during a powerful golf swing.
Powering the watch is the RM 38-02 manual winding caliber, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 52 hours. This movement features a carbon-fiber skeletonized baseplate that offers excellent shock resistance. The robust bridges are made of grade 5 titanium, with small pink elements decorating the caseback.
