The Richard Mille RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson is a striking new timepiece inspired by the world of professional golf. Designed in collaboration with golf star Bubba Watson, this watch stands out with its distinctive pink color, reminiscent of Watson’s favorite PING driver, adding a vibrant touch that is sure to bring joy to its wearer.
The bezel and caseback of the RM 38-02 are crafted from a unique composite of pink and white quartz TPT, while the caseband is made with carbon TPT and pink quartz TPT, each exhibiting a unique interlaced texture. The tonneau-shaped case ensures a snug fit on the wrist, and the crown features a cleverly designed pattern mimicking the dimples of a golf ball, adding a playful element to the overall design.
An open-worked dial allows wearers to admire the complete operation of the movement, with skeletonized bridges forming a lateral ‘V’ shape. The pink hand-painted details on the dial are inspired by the head of Bubba Watson’s golf club. The tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock is engineered to withstand impacts of up to 10,000 g’s, ensuring stability during high-speed swings by professional golfers.
Powered by the RM 38-02 manual winding movement, it operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph and offers a power reserve of 52 hours. The movement features a carbon fiber skeletonized baseplate for exceptional shock resistance, while the bridges maintain their robust construction in grade 5 titanium. Additionally, the reverse side of the watch is embellished with pink detailing, adding to its unique charm.
