RM Factory celebrates Richard Mille’s extraordinary sports qualities by recreating them in the new RM12-01 Sapphire Tourbillon. This timepiece achieves a remarkable fusion of material innovation and watch architecture, establishing a legendary presence in the watch industry.
The case is meticulously crafted using sapphire crystal, culminating in a visually seamless and technically coherent whole. Inspired by racecar chassis design, the integrated base plate and case enhance rigidity and impact resistance, offering unparalleled durability.
The dial draws inspiration from architectural structural forms, featuring tubular inclined configurations that provide optimal stiffness and torsion resistance. It is exceptionally resistant to thermal changes and corrosive elements. The base plate supports bridges made of grade 5 titanium alloy, showcasing a highly original three-dimensional structure, capable of withstanding acceleration beyond 5,000 Gs.
At the heart of this masterpiece lies the Swiss custom-made tourbillon movement, proudly displayed through the sapphire crystal. The movement showcases exquisite hand finishes, including polished pivots, satin finishes, circular treatments, and high-polished playful combinations, delivering stunning visual effects.
RM Factory broke technical barriers to achieve this transparent movement, creating a unique piece with a bright and captivating appearance. The RM12-01 Sapphire Tourbillon stands as a testament to RM’s dedication to pushing boundaries and setting new standards in horological craftsmanship.
