Discover the Marvels of the New V7 IWC Ingenieur Watch!

In 2023, IWC wowed watch enthusiasts at the Watches & Wonders Geneva with the new generation Ingenieur watch, a revival of Gérald Genta’s classic design from the 1970s, the Ref. 1832.

The watch features a 40mm case masterfully crafted with vertical and circular brushing and polished finishes, resulting in a softer, more fluid silhouette. With a thickness of just 10.7mm, it’s a sleek marvel on the wrist. Five robust screws hold the bezel securely, while the redesigned H-shaped bracelet and lugs offer an ergonomic fit that hugs the wrist comfortably.

A standout feature is the recreated “grid” motif dial, reminiscent of the original Ingenieur SL. This intricate pattern is stamped into an iron base before undergoing a galvanizing process. The grid lies in the dial’s internal area, with the minute scale’s outer area remaining smooth. The IWC logo’s size and position are meticulously aligned with the grid design. Meanwhile, luminous markers ensure readability in the dark.

The dial showcases a classic three-hand layout, with hour markers and the second hand paying homage to the 1970s style. The date window finds its place at 3 o’clock, while the “INGENIEUR” mark sits proudly at 6 o’clock.

The V7 factory maintains its reputation with an all-new steel band perfectly mimicking the original in both material and craftsmanship. For those favoring an economical option, a Sea-Gull 2892 stable version is available, identical in appearance to its Swiss sibling.

Equipped with the imported Swiss SW300 movement, the watch promises outstanding performance and precision without the hassle of repairs. The V7 Ingenieur watch is now available for enthusiasts to admire and enjoy.
