RICHARD MILLE has unveiled the RM 65-01 McLaren W1, the fourth watch designed in collaboration with the British supercar manufacturer McLaren. Inspired by McLaren’s latest generation W1 supercar, this timepiece is a stunning amalgamation of cutting-edge materials and vibrant racing colors.

The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 features an innovative tonneau-shaped case that draws inspiration from the graceful lines of the McLaren W1. The ‘inward concave, outward convex’ contour gives way to a double-layered bezel. The upper layer of the bezel is crafted from Carbon TPT® carbon fiber, with each case boasting a unique texture. The lower layer is made of polished Grade 5 titanium, with the thinnest part measuring just 0.5mm.

Chronograph pushers are made from Carbon TPT® carbon fiber, while the titanium crown is enveloped in orange rubber, enhancing tactile experience. The skeletonized titanium dial takes its cues from the wheel rim design of the W1 supercar, with color accents reminiscent of a supercar dashboard. The hour, minute hands, and small seconds at 6 o’clock are adorned in yellow, the 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters in orange, and the chronograph second markers in blue. A vertical date window is positioned at 11 o’clock.

Powered by the RMAC4 automatic movement, this watch offers an impressive 60-hour power reserve, and achieves a chronograph precision of 1/10 of a second. The movement’s baseplate and bridges are fashioned from Grade 5 titanium, ensuring both strength and lightweight performance.

The rubber strap is available in black and orange, echoing the aerodynamic design of the W1’s engine hood air intakes. The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 is a masterful blend of high-performance materials and racing-inspired aesthetics, making it a must-have for both watch enthusiasts and supercar aficionados.
