The GR upgraded version of the Patek Philippe Ref. 5226G-001 has arrived with intensified night glow features. This model, part of the Classic Watches series, showcases a 40mm case that captures the essence of the Patek Philippe Calatrava line renowned for its sleek and seamless design.

Patek Philippe has reimagined this collection, integrating the iconic Paris hobnail pattern along the case sides. This pattern was previously featured in the 2021 Calatrava series in the Ref. 6119 model. Additionally, a unique case construction allows the integration of the bezel and case back, enveloping the case sides completely with the Paris hobnail design.

The charcoal gray dial radiates a vintage charm, with a black gradient effect at the edge reminiscent of antique camera casings. The dial is adorned with luminous beige-coated white gold markers, and the understated ‘railway style’ second markers. The hour and minute hands, designed in a barrel shape, are also coated in luminous beige. The date window is located at the 3 o’clock position, featuring beige numerals against a black background.

The watch is powered by the modified Cal.26-330 S C movement, based on the 9015 model. This movement boasts an array of meticulous details, such as chamfered bridges, finely polished edges, and beautifully decorated surfaces with fish-scale patterns and Geneva waves. The movement also features gold-engraved surfaces and expertly finished screw slots, each element perfected with the classic Patek Philippe double P insignia.

The new Ref. 5226G-001 offers two interchangeable straps: one with beige suede calf leather and another in black calf leather with embossed patterns and beige stitching. Both straps feature white gold pin buckles and a quick-release mechanism for effortless strap changing.

After the discontinuation of the 5296, this GR upgraded model fills the void for a stunning and elegant three-hand timepiece in the Patek Philippe collection, combining sophistication with remarkable details.
