Discover the Evolution: PPF’s New Cal.26-330SC Movement Explained!

PPF has unveiled its latest technological marvel, the Cal.26-330SC movement, marking a significant leap forward in watchmaking innovation. This new generation movement is an upgraded version of the 324, bringing unparalleled craftsmanship and advanced features to the forefront.

One of the key advancements in the 330SC is the integration of all components into a single module. The balance wheel, gears, and hairspring have undergone comprehensive upgrades. The workmanship on the plate is outstanding, with all engravings precisely laser-etched. The bridge is beautifully adorned with Geneva stripes and perlage decoration, enhancing its aesthetic sophistication.

The automatic rotor in the 330SC movement has been redesigned for improved performance. It features a more rounded crescent shape, with a ruby bearing added to the rotor’s central axis locking mechanism. This offers greater security compared to the previous screw-based system.

A noteworthy technical highlight of the 330SC is the genuine driving wheel, replacing the former decorative silver wheel with a functional gold wheel. This introduces a perfect four-stage acceleration system, ensuring stable torque as it transitions from the mainspring to the third, fourth, and escape wheels. The result is a smooth power transfer that stabilizes the watch’s amplitude, effectively preventing the second hand from jittering.

The 330SC movement’s most significant addition is the stop-seconds mechanism. This incorporates a traditional watch chain that halts the balance wheel when the crown is pulled. When the crown is pushed back, a slight impulse is generated to help reactivate the escapement module seamlessly.

PPF’s Cal.26-330SC represents a breakthrough in both technology and design, solidifying its place as a leader in the realm of watchmaking.
