The RICHARD MILLE RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson is a remarkable timepiece inspired by the world of professional golf. This new release showcases an eye-catching pink theme, a tribute to famed golfer Bubba Watson’s favorite PING driver, bringing a vibrant and joyful style to the forefront.
The watch features a unique combination of pink and white quartz TPT materials for the bezel and case back, with the case middle crafted from carbon TPT and pink quartz TPT. Each casing presents a distinct pattern, giving it a one-of-a-kind appearance. The tonneau-shaped case is designed for a snug, comfortable fit on the wrist, while the crown’s top mimics the texture of a golf ball, adding an intriguing detail.
An open-worked dial offers a clear view of the intricate movement within. The skeletonized bridges form a horizontal ‘V’ shape on the dial, highlighted by hand-painted pink accents inspired by the head of Watson’s golf club. The tourbillon at 6 o’clock is engineered to withstand impacts up to 10,000g, ensuring stability even during powerful golf swings.
Powering this masterpiece is the RM 38-02 hand-wound movement, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (vph) and offering a power reserve of 52 hours. The movement features a skeletonized baseplate made from carbon TPT for exceptional shock resistance, and the bridges are constructed from robust Grade 5 titanium. Pink decorative elements are incorporated into the back side, adding color to the technical mastery.
