Franck Muller has unveiled an extraordinary new addition to its lineup — the Grand Central Tourbillon. This masterpiece stands out with its unique “central tourbillon” setup, turning the slow-revolving tourbillon into the main attraction on the dial.
The watch’s Cintrée Curvex barrel-shaped case has been revamped, showcasing sleek and flowing lines. The crystal extends elegantly over the watch’s ends towards the lugs, creating an expansive and open dial.
Crafted from carbon fiber, the case offers a delicate texture with subtle black and gray stripes, achieving a charmingly elegant yet abstract appeal.
The lacquered dial features striking oversized Arabic numerals. The guilloché pattern is embossed, spiraling outwards, echoing the tourbillon’s motion. Given the tourbillon’s central position, the movement’s gear system was adapted, with hands now installed on the tourbillon’s edge, seemingly floating above the dial.
This watch is powered by the in-house FM CX 40T-CTR automatic movement, with a frequency of 28800vph, offering a remarkable four-day power reserve.
The watch is paired with a fluorocarbon-rubber nylon strap and a new brushed finish folding clasp specifically crafted for this edition.
