The latest release from Richard Mille, the RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson, is a striking timepiece designed in collaboration with professional golfer Bubba Watson. This watch’s unique pink theme draws inspiration from Watson’s beloved PING driver, offering a refreshing and lively aesthetic that delights the senses.
Crafted with a combination of pink and white quartz TPT and carbon fiber, the bezel and case back of this masterpiece make a bold statement. The middle case features a mix of carbon and pink quartz TPT, each showcasing a one-of-a-kind interwoven texture. The tonneau-shaped case enhances comfort and fits snugly, while the crown top mimics a golf ball’s dimples, adding a playful touch.
The open-worked dial allows the wearer to appreciate the movement in its entirety. Skeletal bridges form a horizontal ‘V’ shape on the dial, accented by pink hand-painted motifs inspired by Watson’s golf club head. The 6 o’clock tourbillon structure is engineered to withstand forces of up to 10,000g, ensuring stable performance during high-speed swings.
Powered by the RM 38-02 manual-winding movement, it beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 52 hours. The movement’s baseplate is crafted from carbon fiber, providing exceptional shock resistance. The bridges, made from robust Grade 5 titanium, feature pink accents even on the rear’s perforations, completing the watch’s distinctive design.
