Discover the Latest IWC Portuguese Perpetual: Sleeker and Smarter!

The IWC Portuguese Perpetual has long been a favorite among watch enthusiasts, and its latest iteration doesn’t disappoint. Known for its signature Arabic numerals and elegant leaf-shaped hands, this model has seen some exciting upgrades, especially in the Portuguese Seven, affectionately known as the ‘Portugieser Perpetual’.

First up, we have the watch case. Despite maintaining its classic 42.4mm diameter, the new Portuguese Seven has managed to slim down from 14.1mm to a sleek 13mm. For those in the know, 13mm is often considered the sweet spot for dress watches, balancing elegance and comfort. No more jokes about a dress watch being thicker than a diver’s!

Then there’s the crystal – say hello to the domed sapphire crystal. This design not only provides more space for the hands to move but also enhances the watch’s aesthetic appeal. And talk about going the extra mile: the case back is also fitted with a domed sapphire crystal, offering a clear view of the intricate inner workings.

In terms of the dial, there’s been a significant facelift from previous models. The new design removes the railway-style markers from the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. Plus, the power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock no longer uses a red ‘1’ marker. These subtle tweaks create a cleaner and more cohesive look, emphasizing the dial’s unity.

With these sophisticated updates, IWC continues to live up to its ‘Only for the Best’ ethos, ensuring that the Portuguese Seven remains a top choice for discerning watch lovers.
