Discover the Speed: RICHARD MILLE RM 65-01 McLaren W1 Watch

RICHARD MILLE has unveiled its latest collaborative masterpiece, the RM 65-01 McLaren W1 Automatic Chronograph, drawing inspiration from the McLaren W1 supercar. This marks the fourth creation in partnership with the renowned British supercar manufacturer.

The watch embodies the exhilarating spirit of McLaren’s latest W1 supercar, showcasing a bold design with the innovative use of materials. The bezel combines Carbon TPT® and Grade 5 titanium, reflecting the sleek lines of the car with an eye-catching fusion of orange, yellow, and blue racing hues.

The tonneau-shaped case is reminiscent of the elegant curves of the McLaren W1, featuring a unique ‘concave-convex’ contour that presents as a ‘double-layer’ bezel on the watch. The upper layer is crafted from Carbon TPT®, each exhibiting a unique pattern, while the lower layer is polished Grade 5 titanium, as thin as 0.5mm at its slimmest part. Carbon TPT® is also used for the flyback chronograph buttons, and the titanium crown is wrapped in orange rubber for enhanced tactile feedback.

The skeletonized titanium dial is inspired by the W1 supercar’s wheel hub design, with vibrant accents recalling a race car’s dashboard. The hour and minute hands, along with the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, are adorned in yellow, while the 30-minute and 12-hour counters feature orange, and the chronograph seconds scale is in blue. A vertical date window is positioned at 11 o’clock on the dial.

The RMAC4 automatic winding movement powers this masterpiece, offering a 60-hour power reserve. Constructed from Grade 5 titanium, both the baseplate and bridges ensure precision timing down to 1/10th of a second.

The rubber strap comes in two color options, black and orange, with streamlined grooves inspired by the aerodynamic design of the W1’s hood vents.
