Richard Mille has unveiled a striking new masterpiece: the RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson watch, inspired by the world of golf. Designed in collaboration with professional golfer Bubba Watson, this watch features a unique pink hue reminiscent of Watson’s beloved PING driver, bringing an exceptional sense of joy and vibrancy.
The RM 38-02 showcases a bold pink and white quartz TPT material for the bezel and caseback, while the middle case combines carbon and pink quartz TPT, ensuring each watch case boasts a unique pattern. The barrel-shaped design contours comfortably to the wrist, and the crown’s surface cleverly mimics the texture of a golf ball, adding delightful detail to the piece.
The skeletonized dial offers a clear view of the movement’s intricate operations, with a transverse ‘V’ shape created by the bridges on the dial. Bubba Watson’s signature pink artwork decorates the dial, inspired by the head of his golf club. The watch features a tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock, capable of withstanding impacts of up to 10,000 g, ensuring stable performance even during high-speed swings.
Powered by the RM 38-02 manual winding movement, this watch operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 52-hour power reserve. The movement features a skeletonized baseplate crafted from carbon fiber, enhancing its shock-resistant properties. The bridges, made from robust grade 5 titanium, also incorporate pink accents on the rear.
