Richard Mille has unveiled a striking new creation in collaboration with professional golfer Bubba Watson: the RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson watch. This eye-catching timepiece features a vibrant pink theme inspired by Bubba’s beloved PING golf club, making it a joyful addition to the collection.
The watch’s bezel and caseback are crafted from a unique composite material, combining pink and white quartz with carbon fiber. The middle case also utilizes this innovative mix, ensuring each piece boasts a one-of-a-kind intertwining texture. The tonneau-shaped case offers a comfortable fit on the wrist, while the crown top cleverly mimics the dimples of a golf ball—a delightful detail.
The fully open dial reveals the intricate workings of the movement inside. Skeletonized bridges form a striking lateral “V” shape on the dial, with pink hand-painted designs echoing the head of Bubba Watson’s golf club. The tourbillon structure at 6 o’clock can withstand an impressive 10,000g impact, ensuring stable operation even during high-speed swings by professional golfers.
Inside is the RM 38-02 manual winding movement, with a frequency of 28,800 vph and a 52-hour power reserve. The movement features a skeletonized base plate made of carbon fiber, offering excellent shock resistance. The bridges are made from sturdy Grade 5 titanium, while pink elements adorn the backplate’s perforations.
