Experience the Ultimate in Lightweight: Richard Mille RM 27-02 Tourbillon Watch

The Richard Mille RM 27-02 is not just any tourbillon watch; it is a timepiece engineered for performance and endurance, specifically designed for tennis legend Rafael Nadal. This ultra-lightweight watch exemplifies strength and stability, capable of withstanding the immense acceleration experienced during sports.

Inspired by the design of race car chassis, Richard Mille’s innovative approach integrates the skeletonized baseplate with the watch case. This fusion significantly enhances the watch’s shock resistance, a trait that proved crucial during the men’s 400-meter final at the Rio Olympics, when South African athlete Wayde van Niekerk wore this very watch to clinch the gold medal.

To reduce its weight further, Richard Mille collaborated with North Thin Ply Technology to develop a case made from tough, durable quartz fiber, an ultra-light material that possesses the rugged texture of Damascus steel. The entire watch feels as light as paper, yet it retains extraordinary durability.

Through the sapphire crystal case back, the inner workings of the movement are visible, featuring a floating tourbillon at 6 o’clock and a quick rotating barrel at 12 o’clock, unique to Richard Mille, offering up to 52 hours of power reserve while increasing energy efficiency by 20% during the initial winding stage.

The RM 27-02 sports a striking design with a white bezel secured by 12 grade 5 titanium screws, complemented by an orange strap and red crown. For enhanced readability, the tips of the hour and minute hands are accented with bright orange-yellow highlights.

With a carbon fiber case, sapphire crystal front and back, and a carbon fiber dial, the Richard Mille RM 27-02 is water-resistant up to 50 meters. This exceptional timepiece also features a woven strap, titanium buckle, and the mesmerizing function complexity of a tourbillon.
