Richard Mille has partnered with renowned tennis player Rafael Nadal to introduce an astonishing watch collaboration—the RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal. This timepiece, weighing only 38g with the strap included, is celebrated as the world’s lightest and most robust tourbillon watch, capable of withstanding impacts up to 14,000g.

The RM 27-05 spent five years in development, utilizing a new carbon fiber composite—Carbon TPT® B.4. This advanced material offers a 4% increase in density, a 15% improvement in fiber rigidity, and a 30% enhancement in resin strength compared to conventional Carbon TPT®. The material’s structure has been anisotropically optimized, ensuring both lightweight properties and unparalleled durability, providing this series with unprecedented impact resistance.

The watch’s crystal employs PMMA ultra-light polymer to replace traditional sapphire crystal. This innovation allows for reduced weight, while enhancing transparency and anti-glare performance.

The fully open-worked dial showcases a unique geometric mechanical aesthetic. The V-shaped bridge and tourbillon bridge create striking visual impact, while the skeletonized barrel reveals winding status. The gear train, located at 2 o’clock and 8 o’clock positions, is meticulously layered for perfect integration.
