The RM53-01, known as the ‘PABLO MAC DONOUGH’ tourbillon watch, is not only dynamic but also incredibly robust. It features a TPT® carbon fiber case, laminated sapphire crystal, and a suspended movement secured by steel cables. These elements collectively define the watch as one of the most durable luxury sports timepieces on the market.
Continuing the iconic barrel-shaped design, the watch case measures approximately 51x43x16mm and is crafted from TPT® carbon fiber composites. Globally recognized for its excellence, TPT® carbon fiber is renowned for its exceptional shock resistance. The unique texture of the carbon fiber enhances the aesthetic appeal of the watch.
The case is secured with 20 grade 5 titanium spline screws and 316L stainless steel washers, offering water resistance up to 50 meters. The watch’s crystal is equally formidable; unlike ordinary crystal glasses that can shatter upon impact, this watch utilizes a patented UV-coated laminated sapphire crystal. It only cracks under heavy impact, ensuring protection for both the movement and the wearer.
A titanium alloy skeleton dial with blue luminous markers and hands ensures visibility in low-light conditions. The transparent case back reveals the intricate suspension system. The double baseplate structure comprises a ‘central’ baseplate that holds the movement gears firmly, and an ‘outer’ baseplate that supports the tension system through steel wires. This setup divides the suspended movement into two sections, strengthening the watch’s durability while ensuring smooth gear operation.
